Regional Assembly Member for South Wales Central

Salary range: £22,594 - 31,890 (Band 1 Pro-Rata)

(Please note that recruitment will normally be at the minimum of the range)

Working hours: 18.5

Location: Regional Office, Cardiff

The Regional Assembly Member for South Wales Central is seeking an efficient and self-motivated Office Manager with significant experience of managing financial paperwork and exceptional attention to detail to ensure the smooth running of the Members' regional office, ensuring the accuracy of financial record-keeping, and the provision of excellent customer service for constituents.

Main duties include:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the regional offices of the Assembly Member;

  • Managing budgets and financial returns promptly and accurately;

  • Ensuring high standards of customer service are delivered throughout the regional office, acting as a first point of contact for constituents;

  • Carry out a full range of secretarial and administrative support for the Member as necessary;

Essential criteria include:

  • Experience of supervising staff and working as part of a team;

  • Experience of managing a budget and processing financial paperwork, preferably in a public-sector environment;

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines, keeping calm under pressure.
