Policy Development
The main way in which the Welsh Liberal Democrats decide policy is through our members. At our twice annual conferences, we debate a wide range of motions, amendments and policy papers.
Motions can be submitted by local parties, party committees, our youth wing, or groups of 20 Conference Representatives. They are published in advance, and can also be amended by members. Policy Papers and Consultation papers are usually drafted by our Policy Committee, Policy Team or elected representatives.
The Policy Committee is responsible for the development of the party's policy, the preparation and drafting of policy documents and the manifesto, and the appointment of working groups to support developing policy.
