Mark Williams

Ymunodd Mark Williams a'r Senedd yn San Steffan ar ei bedwaredd ymgais yn 2005, yn adennill ei sedd oddi wrth Plaid Cymru ar ôl 13 blwyddyn.

After attending Richard Hale Secondary School, Hertford, Mark Williams read politics at Aberystwyth University. In what spare time Mark has he enjoys walking, his garden and an ever growing collection of political biographies.

After graduating Mark became a part-time researcher to the Liberal Peers in the House of Lords, but was determined to stay in Ceredigion; until 1992 he spent half the week and all the Parliamentary holidays there as assistant to Geraint Howells. Mark then trained to be a teacher at the University of Plymouth and taught in England for several years before becoming Deputy Head of Ysgol Llangors, nr Brecon, in 2000.

He joined the Welsh Select Committee in 2005 and in 2006 he was appointed to the Welsh Affairs team; he had previously been a member of the Education team [2005-06].
